Privacy Policy

How The Moppsters collects, uses, stores and protects your personal information when you visit our website or work with us as your marketing agency.

Effective Date: 26 August 2026
The Moppsters is a marketing agency built exclusively for Australian cleaning companies, providing website development, SEO, Google & Meta advertising, social media management and AI call-answering services. We are committed to handling personal information lawfully, fairly and transparently, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and disclose personal information through our website at themoppsters.com, our enquiry and contact forms, phone, email and in the course of providing marketing services to our clients.
01

Information We Collect

We may collect personal information that is reasonably necessary for our business functions and to provide our marketing services, including:

  • Name, business name, email address, phone number and postal address
  • Details about your cleaning business, service area and current marketing setup
  • Website, Google Business Profile, Google Ads and Meta Ads account access, where provided for service delivery
  • Billing, invoicing and payment information
  • Enquiry, contact form and audit request details
  • Call recordings and transcripts, where our AI receptionist service is used
  • Website usage information, including cookies and analytics data
  • Feedback, testimonials and survey responses
02

How We Collect Information

We generally collect personal information directly from you when you submit an enquiry, audit request or contact form on our website; call, email or message us; book a strategy call; become a client and provide access to your business, website, Google or Meta accounts; or interact with our AI receptionist on behalf of your business.

We may also collect information from third parties where reasonable and lawful, including Google, Meta and other advertising or hosting platforms connected to your accounts, and publicly available business information such as your Google Business Profile.

03

How We Use Information

We use personal information to respond to enquiries and audit requests; assess how we can help grow your cleaning business; build, launch and manage websites, SEO, Google & Meta Ads and social media campaigns; set up and operate AI call-answering services on your behalf; process payments and manage billing; provide performance reporting and dashboards; communicate with you about your account and campaigns; improve our website, services and marketing systems; and comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

We will not use personal information for a purpose unrelated to why it was collected unless you consent or the use is otherwise permitted by law.

04

Website Forms & Enquiries

Where you submit information through our website — including the "Free Marketing Review" form, contact form or audit request — we collect the information you provide, such as your name, email address, phone number, business name and any message submitted, and use it to respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, prepare a marketing review of your business.

Please avoid submitting sensitive personal information through our website forms unless it is necessary for your enquiry.

05

Cookies & Analytics

Our website uses cookies, pixels and analytics tools to improve functionality, understand visitor behaviour and measure the performance of our own marketing. This may include essential cookies required for the site to operate, analytics cookies such as Google Analytics, and advertising or remarketing cookies such as the Meta Pixel and Google Ads tracking.

You can disable cookies through your browser settings, though this may affect how parts of the website function. Analytics tools generally collect aggregated information such as pages visited, browser and device type, and general location, and are not intended to personally identify individual visitors.

06

Marketing Communications

We may send emails, SMS messages, campaign updates or marketing communications relating to our services. Marketing communications are only sent where permitted by law, and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in the communication or by contacting us directly. Service-related messages — such as updates about your active campaigns — may still be sent where necessary to deliver our services.

07

Disclosure of Information

We may disclose personal information where reasonably necessary to provide our services, including to:

  • Our staff, contractors and specialists working on your account
  • Advertising platforms such as Google and Meta, to run and manage your campaigns
  • Website hosting, cloud storage, CRM, dashboard and software providers
  • Payment processors and billing providers
  • Our accountants, insurers and professional advisers
  • Government bodies or regulators, where required or permitted by law

We take reasonable steps to ensure third parties who handle personal information on our behalf are required to protect it and use it only for authorised purposes.

08

Google & Meta Advertising

Where we manage Google Ads, Meta Ads or Google Business Profile services on your behalf, we access advertising and business account data solely to plan, launch, optimise and report on your campaigns. We do not sell your business or advertising data, and we do not use it to advertise on behalf of any other client.

These platforms have their own privacy policies governing how they process data, which we encourage you to review — including Google's Privacy Policy and Meta's Privacy Policy.

09

Client Account & Ad Data Access

As part of onboarding, clients may grant us access to their website, hosting, Google Business Profile, Google Ads, Meta Business Suite or other marketing accounts. This access is used only to deliver the agreed services and is limited to authorised team members. Access can be reviewed or revoked by the client at any time, and is typically removed at the end of an engagement unless otherwise agreed.

10

Overseas Disclosure

Some of our website, hosting, email, cloud storage, CRM, advertising and software providers may store or process information outside Australia. Where personal information is disclosed overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with Australian privacy obligations, unless an exception under privacy law applies.

11

Third-Party Links

Our website may contain links to third-party websites, tools or client demo sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content or security of third-party websites, and this Privacy Policy applies only to information collected by The Moppsters.

12

AI Receptionist & Call Data

Where a client uses our AI Call Receptionist service, incoming calls to that business may be answered, transcribed and, where enabled, recorded by our AI system in order to qualify enquiries and book appointments. This call and enquiry data is used only to deliver the service to the relevant business, and is shared with that business so they can follow up with their own customers. Callers should be aware they may be interacting with an automated system.

13

Security of Information

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. This includes SSL-encrypted website hosting, password-protected systems and access controls, secure cloud storage and software platforms, staff confidentiality practices, and regular review of our security procedures. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold.

14

Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes it was collected, including to provide services, comply with legal and tax obligations, resolve disputes and maintain business records. Where information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it, unless retention is required by law.

15

Access & Correction

You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you by contacting us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before providing access, and will respond within a reasonable period. Access may be limited in some circumstances permitted by law.

16

Notifiable Data Breaches

The Moppsters will respond to suspected or actual data breaches in accordance with applicable legal obligations. Where a breach is likely to result in serious harm, we will take the steps required under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme, which may include notifying affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

17

Privacy Complaints

If you believe we have mishandled your personal information or breached this Privacy Policy, please contact us in writing using the details below. We will acknowledge your complaint, investigate it, and respond within a reasonable period.
